8 HOUR RIGGING WORKER REFRESHER

Course Description:

This 8-Hour Rigging Worker Refresher course provides a comprehensive review of the roles and responsibilities of rigging workers. This course is required to maintain a Rigging Worker certificate in New York City.

Students will specifically review hazard recognition and prevention according to OSHA and NYC DOB standards. Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive an 8-Hour Rigging Worker Refresher certificate valid for another four years.

Topics to be Covered: Introduction to OSHA and DOB Rigging Worker Standards; Hazards Associated with Rigging; Rigging Equipment Inspection and Maintenance; Hitch Configurations, Load Capacities, and Basic Knots.
